
Rick
Lawler began writing in his teens, and saw his work published while in his
20s. Between 1977 and 1983, he was an editor for two weekly newspapers in
California.
He is an award-winning photographer, and enjoys digital photography and
converting his video into DVD movies.
Lawler recently retired from a major university medical center in
Sacramento, California, and moved with his wife, Alice and two children,
Sara and Sean, to Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island, Washington.
His non-fiction has been published in Westways, General
Aviation News, Beyond Reality, Physicians and Computers,
Young World, Sacramento Business Journal, Santa Clara County
Business, Sales & Marketing Management, The Fresno Bee,
and many others.
Fiction by Lawler has appeared in Space and Time, Midnight Zoo,
Pulphouse, Mature Years, and many others. Some of these
stories, and others, have been collected in Sudden Impact: Unsafe Reading
at Any Speed published by iUniverse.
